Ex LCC student & head of graphic design at Musashino Arts University in Tokyo, Professor Yoshiro Gotoh, conducted this 4-day workshop on Japanese typgraphics.

We explored Western typo-graphics from our local areas, and Japanese typographics through experimentation with ink and brush strokes mimicking human figures.

My poster was all about illustrating the pictographic nature of Chinese and Japanese characters to a Western audience by designing a pictographic character for each letter of the Western alphabet.
